What is Siteimprove?
Siteimprove is a tool that can be used on websites to help understand if your web content is accessible to people with disabilities.
It automatically assesses website accessibility compliance using WCAG guidelines. The reporting dashboard in Siteimprove will identify accessibility and other various web optimization techniques, providing suggestions on how to improve compliance.
The service is available to all Northeastern website administrators upon request and is accessible via single sign-on (SSO). Once a website has been registered with Siteimprove, the tool will automatically crawl the site every five days to keep its reports up to date.
Siteimprove offers additional reporting features including SEO Audit and Quality Assurance.
WordPress Plugin
If you have a WordPress site, once access is granted to Siteimprove you will be able to access Siteimprove reports directly from your WordPress dashboard.
The Siteimprove plugin is a “lite” version of Siteimprove that allows you to scan your website for errors as soon as a page is published.
